fedi software meta, nazis
Lot's of people run pleroma because it's easier to setup and less memory hungry than mastodon. Yea lots of nazis run it too and sure and no I'm not saying to just ignore that fact.
But stigmatising all pleroma users like they're nazis, or claiming that using pleroma inherently is linked with being a nazi is an oversimplification and not a fun trend to see on here...
Yes, it's ok that #NVIDIA #opensource.d the #Linux Kernel Module for their GFX cards now. It's a start. People backslapping Nvidia now, arguing "see how good they are!!": Wat?! W/o constant pressure of the Linux community since decades, nothing would've be done. Still no MESA, no CUDA.
As a user, nothing changes for you:
You still need that not open sourced MESA alternative by Nvidia to get a picture on your monitor.
That means also: Fresh install images of Linux distros cannot ship a working Nvidia open source stack - still driving countless users to the stupid "Linux doesn't work on the desktop!!" claim. Because from their view, that's how it is. First hand!!
The only ones who really profit from this are the #nouveau driver developers. The real open source heros, bringing Nvidia chips to live with almost no documentation - since years!
They finally have something solid to work with now. Those devs are the ones who deserve our support - more than ever.
EU: All messenger services should be required to interoperate.
Also EU: We will fund opensource software, like e.g. messenger clients.
Also EU: All messengers are now required to scan messages for unwanted content locally, before encryption, and notify the gooberment of such communicaton.
Do they even realize that they literally have to make FOSS illegal if they want people to not be able to choose clients that don't spy on them (regardless of message transport)? The answer, of course, is no.
