So you just arrived here from twitter and it's quiet. Real quiet. That's because there's no algorithm here designed to drive engagement(which equals profit).

Here, you are the algorithm. It's up to you to find and follow people that are interesting to you. You can also see who they follow and who else follows them, as you build it up, it gets more interesting.

Also, if you find people you don't like or entire instances you don't like, you can mute or block them. You are in control.

Fortunately I had time and space to get to the other side of the field to align the moon behind this tree more or less like I had planned to - just from a different angle.

Another walk in the lanes this morning, but I brought my camera this time!

These shots feel a little mundane, but I'm practicing my eye, and learning that perhaps pleasantly mundane isn't a bad thing to be?

PSA: Do *not* use Microsofts E-Mail services (outlook.​com, Hotmail, etc).
They reject mails from many (prolly most) other servers, even if not on public blacklists. This especially affects self-hosted mailservers, but I even had a mail sent from Namecheap's E-Mail hosting bounce

Exzellente Excel-Ente.

Gestern endlich mein #CutiePi aus Japan bekommen. Ein Raspberry Tablet, bei dem alles OpenSource ist, auch die Hardware und das 3d-gedruckte Gehäuse. Installiert ist Debian mit einem touch-optimierten Browser. Werde ich mit meinen Schülern nachbauen und individualisieren (https://cutiepi.io).

MySQL is great. You do an upgrade to try to fix one problem - it doesn’t but after the upgrade you run into a new one.

Downgrades are not supported of course and will break the database.

I think more and more turning to magic as a potential career-path. 🤬
